In the artist's (Bice) travels, the most distant countries were a destination he aspired to. The journey that took her to Argentina drew various inspirations from the most extreme territories. The sun is low for the latitude of the area and creates an atmosphere that impresses the artist. The result is the painting we see when we look at it.
